60岁生日，“长沙献血第一人”最后一次献血

On his 60th birthday, Liu Haisha donated blood for the 281st time and the last time in Changsha, Hunan province. The law stipulates that the oldest age for blood donation is 60.

60岁生日当天，刘海沙在湖南省长沙市进行了自己的第281次献血，这也是他最后一次献血。根据相关规定，60岁以上的公民不能再参与无偿献血。

Liu has donated 115,300 millimeters of blood over the past 24 years, which is equivalent to the blood of 26 adults.

在过去的24年里，刘海沙累计献血量达115300毫升，按照正常血量计算，相当于26名成年人血量的总和。

Under the law, people aged 18 to 55 are eligible for blood donation, and healthy people who have donated blood multiple times without side effects can continue until 60.

根据相关规定，18岁至55岁的公民可以进行献血，而身体健康且多次献血无副作用的人可以继续献血至60岁。

Liu made his last donation at Changsha Blood Center on Friday, where center staff celebrated his birthday with him.

12月6日，刘海沙来到长沙血液中心进行最后一次献血，当天工作人员还一起为其庆生。

Liu said he is reluctant to "retire" from blood donation and wants to become a volunteer at the center.

刘海沙表示，他其实不愿“退休”，还想继续成为血液中心的一名志愿者。

He was inspired to donate blood when his mother and grandmother donated blood to save fellow villagers many times when he was little.

刘海沙回忆，坚持无偿献血的原因是受到奶奶和妈妈的影响，她们数次在村民急需用血时积极捐献。

Liu's wife, son and daughter-in-law have all become regular blood donors.

在刘海沙的影响下，他的妻子、儿子和儿媳都成为了固定献血者。

Zhang Huiping, who works at the Changsha Blood Center, said Liu has become a dear friend of the center and an example for their young employees.

在长沙血液中心的工作人员张会平表示，刘海沙已经成为血站工作人员的一位老朋友，也是年轻员工们的榜样。
